What Makes Holly Mapleton Different

Each Holly Mapleton home is intentionally small so residents are known by name, not room number. With just a few residents per home, the environment stays calm, comfortable, and personal.
Privacy without loneliness.
Residents have their own private, furnished space while still enjoying a warm household where connection is part of everyday life.
Purposeful social programming.
We don’t believe engagement is “extra.” It’s essential. Our social programs are designed to promote connection and community.
Support that stays flexible.
Residents can choose additional support through our licensed PSA services, billed separately through Medicaid (where eligible) or private pay. HCBS services are coming soon.
The Inspiration Behind Holly Mapleton
When I was a child, I still remember visiting nursing homes: the dim lighting, the depressed expressions, and a heaviness in the air that felt like stagnation more than care. Even then, I could sense something was wrong. The residents didn’t seem alive anymore.
They seemed forgotten.
That discomfort became personal over time. My family often said, “I’d rather die than live in a nursing home.” In June 2025, that fear became heartbreakingly real when my great-uncle chose hospice rather than enter a facility. He could not imagine a quality of life there, and he passed away just three weeks later.
At the time, I was still preparing my homes, painting, furnishing, finalizing safety systems, and completing policies and procedures. I wasn’t ready to accept residents yet, and it was devastating to realize I couldn’t provide him the kind of environment Holly Mapleton was created to offer.
But his passing solidified my conviction: no one should have to choose between comfort and dignity.
Holly Mapleton exists because aging shouldn’t mean isolation. Support shouldn’t require giving up your freedom.
What We Believe About Aging
Over the years, I’ve seen two painful realities happening at once:
- Many seniors live alone and become isolated, even if they’re “independent.”
- Many seniors fear facilities that feel institutional, impersonal, and restrictive.
Holly Mapleton was created to bridge that gap by bringing community back into the home through shared living. Here, residents can build friendships, enjoy meaningful connection, and still maintain their privacy and autonomy.
Because care isn’t just about completing tasks.
It’s about consistency, connection, and belonging.
